Things to Know Before Booking

What Your Ticket Includes

Entry to the Prado Museum and access to its permanent collections. The audio guide app is included with the Entry Ticket + Audio Guide App option; standard entry does not include it. A live guided tour and temporary exhibitions are not included.

Age Recommendations

Suitable for all ages. Children (0-10) enter free; youth (11-17) and holders of a valid Youth Card enjoy reduced rates.

Best Time to Attend

Arrive early or later in the day to avoid the busiest periods. Allow at least two to three hours to appreciate the collection.

Facilities

Large bags may need to be checked. Bring a charged smartphone and your own headphones if using the audio guide app. Photography policies vary by gallery.

Getting There

The nearest metro stations are Banco de España (L2) and Estación del Arte (L1); it's about a 15-minute walk from Atocha station. Enter via the museum's main access on Calle de Ruiz de Alarcón / Paseo del Prado.

The Prado is vast, so most visitors spend around 2 to 3 hours exploring the highlights - the Goya, Velázquez and El Greco rooms alone reward a good couple of hours.
